Katie,
As you probably know, we talk to Mom every day. I have told you
that Mom just thinks the world of you. I can’t thank you enough
for all that you’re doing for Mom. She feels so secure, loved,
and cared for. Mom has said this numerous times Katie: “That
Katie would have to treat me awfully bad for me to be mad at her.”
Katie … that’s quite a compliment coming from Mom …
and it sounds cute to hear her say it. It sure makes me feel good.
As I’ve told you, it seems that the highlights of her day
are your meals; especially breakfast. She takes such delight in
telling us about what you’ve prepared. Mom seems more comfortable
with herself and her situation. She told me tonight that she’s
gaining weight. I said: “but you seem healthier don’t
you?” She said, “Oh yeah, I am. I do feel better.”
She acknowledges some pain, but she said that she could deal with
it. Mom speaks well of all the staff and I so appreciate the care
and concern that y’all have for her.

Dear Sally and all the Girls,
The orchid basket you sent was absolutely beautiful. I will enjoy
the orchids in years to come. I will never be able to express
my gratitude to all of you for the loving care you gave Jack these
last two years and nine months. It really gave me the confidence
to leave him in your care when I was not able to be there for
him.
I sincerely Thank all of You,
-Lois Myers
Katie (a.k.a. Mother Teresa) –
Thank you for all that you do for Mom. The Love that you demonstrate
for all the ladies is uplifting. It is a priceless thing that
you have.

Dear Sally,
Enclosed is one of Dad’s cards. It was in his briefcase, which
he was using until his stroke. I only share these with those who
are special. Your card was among the many he had kept of the many
years in the business.
Lenn and I continue to feel blessed that Jeanette is so loved and
feels so safe in your care and Katie’s. You all have a wonderful
staff. We love you all.
I had a great visit in Homestead and I accomplished a lot for my
Mom and Jeanette. I miss everyone at Swankridge and look forward
to my next visit.
Much Love,
Marty
